Bringing Joy to Children in Care
The holidays can be a difficult time for children in Resource, Adoptive, Guardianship, Kinship and Relative Care homes. Project Joy exists to make sure every child feels seen, celebrated, and cared for during a season that should be filled with warmth and joy.
Family eligibility:
- Live in Marion, Polk, Yamhill, Linn, Benton, or Lincoln counties.
- Be a current resource, adoptive, guardianship, kinship and relative care family.
Why It Matters
Foster families often carry additional financial and emotional responsibilities, especially during the holidays. Project Joy helps ease that burden while creating meaningful, memorable experiences for the children they serve.
- Gifts for all children in the household under 18 unless special circumstances apply.
- Supports Resource, Adoptive, Guardianship, Kinship and Relative Care Families
- Creates a sense of belonging and celebration for every child
How it Works
Project Joy is powered by a network of community partners, donors, and volunteers who come together each year to make the holidays brighter.
- New toys, gifts, and monetary donations are collected
- Adopt children by picking up tags at giving trees throughout the community at businesses
Through strong partnerships and coordinated efforts, donations are distributed to families across the Marion, Polk, Yamhill, Linn, Benton, and Lincoln counties, ensuring children in care experience the joy of the season.
